Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about creating invoices, logos, templates, PDF downloads, taxes, currencies, and privacy.
Open the invoice generator, enter your business and client details, add line items with quantities and prices, set your invoice and due dates, and pick a template. Taxes, discounts, and totals calculate automatically, and you can download the result as a PDF. No account or signup is required.
Yes. Creating, customizing, and downloading invoices is free, and you don't need to register or provide payment details.
In the invoice generator, use the logo upload in the business information section. PNG, JPEG, WebP, and GIF files up to 2 MB are accepted. The logo appears on the invoice immediately and can be replaced or removed at any time.
There are 24 professional templates covering freelancers, agencies, contractors, retailers, and more. You can preview them all in the template gallery and switch templates without losing any of your invoice data.
Use the Download PDF button in the editor toolbar. PDFs are generated with selectable text (not screenshots), use the active template's design, and flow across multiple pages for long invoices. You can also print the invoice directly from the editor.
Yes. You define your own tax labels (for example VAT, GST, or Sales Tax) and rates. You can add multiple taxes, and they stack additively on the discounted subtotal. The site never imposes any country's tax rules on you — check which taxes apply in your jurisdiction before invoicing.
You can invoice in many currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, PKR, and more. Amounts are formatted with the correct currency symbol and number conventions.
Your invoices, drafts, and uploaded logos live only in your browser's local storage — they are never uploaded to our servers. You can save drafts, delete them, and export or import your invoice data as JSON at any time. See the privacy policy for the full details.
Yes. Use Save draft in the editor to store the invoice in your browser, and Restore draft to pick it up again later. You can also duplicate an invoice, export it as JSON for safekeeping, and import previously exported JSON files.
An invoice requests payment for goods or services and is sent before payment; a receipt confirms that payment has been received. The site has separate generators for each so the document title, fields, and layout match the document's purpose.
Yes. Because everything runs client-side, your invoice details never leave your device unless you share the downloaded PDF yourself. There is no analytics or tracking implemented on the site currently.
Yes. The editor is mobile-friendly with Form and Preview tabs, touch-friendly inputs, and a sticky action bar so download and print are always within reach.
