How to use the Proforma Style template

In the generator, set your document title to PROFORMA INVOICE so the header matches the document's purpose.
Enter complete bank details in the payment section — they render prominently in this template.
Add your invoice or reference number so the client's payment can be matched to the document.
Itemize the goods or services covered by the advance payment clearly.
Download the PDF and send it with a note explaining it is a proforma, not a tax invoice.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a proforma invoice and a regular invoice?

A proforma invoice is a preliminary bill sent before goods or services are delivered — typically to request advance payment. It is not a tax invoice and usually doesn't include VAT/GST; the final commercial invoice follows after delivery. This template's design emphasizes payment details for that workflow.

Can I use this template for estimates too?

Yes — set the document title to ESTIMATE or QUOTE. The amber band and clear totals work well for any pre-payment document. Your line items, notes, and terms carry over unchanged.

Is this invoice template really free to use?
